Brief description of project and relevance to the contract :

The main NAEW aircraft type is accepted as E-3 SENTRY AWAC and will be deployed to the subject apron The required dimensions of the taxiway and apron are in accordance to Bi-SC DIR 85 -5 and total area is 14 100 m2 .Total apron connection taxiway is 5100 m2
The main TFA aircraft types are accepted as F-15 A, F16A, F-35A and F4C and will be deployed to the subject apron. The required dimensions of the taxiway and apron are in accordance to Bi-SC DIR 85 -5,and total area is 27800 m2 . Two points of access required according to ref (a) technical criteria item 4 1(b). Taxiing and under power parking of TFA is designed at this B TYPE estimate. Total apron connection taxiway is 1500 m2
Both surface and subsurface drainage systems are designed for A/C pavement areas. .Aprons will have open drainage ditches at both sides of the pavements.
During the structural strengthening works of existing apron B, And Taxiways, the existing apron and taxiways lighting system consisting elevated taxiway edge lights, light bases, isolation transformers and 5000V series cable, constant current regulators (CCR) located at regulator vault and all other accessories have served their economical lives and further maintenance efforts will not be cost effective therefore will have to be removed.
For the new NAEW apron, and new B apron, all new lighting system components will be installed. Taxiway and apron edge lights will be inset LED type according to CP project data sheet, and also due to heavy snow fall at Eskisehir airbase.
During the structural strengthening works of existing apron B, And Taxiways, the existing apron floodlights will be removed since they have completed their economic life and new floodlight system will be installed in accordance to ref (c) document.
Floodlights will be installed on galvanized steel hexagon masts. Floodlights will be LED type. Each mast will have a panelboard in a weather-proof enclosure, and Apron floodlighting will be controlled from Flight Control tower and also manually switched on -off by a selector switch mounted on the adjacent mast panelboard. Each mast will have red, double globe, steady burning obstruction lights will be installed on top of each mast together with lightning protection rods.
