Site Works include Excavation and Fill Material for Access Roads to the New Tank, Trenching for new Fuel Pipes, PN16/DN150 and PN16/DN50 Pipes, Electrical Manholes, Ducts and Cables and Cathodic Protection for new Pipes.
2,500 m3 Storage Tank is constructed in standard NATO configuration with a tank-top Pump House. Semiburied cylindrical steel Storage Tank is 21.25 m in diameter with a total height of 7.32 m and 2.60 m of the tank lies under the natural soil level. Storage tank is constructed with a reinforced concrete protective wall and there is an earth cover all around the tank with a slope of (2:1) two horizontal to one vertical.
Mechanical works cover 2 (two) each 120 m3/hr Fuel Transfer Pumps and 1 (one) each 12 m3/hr Drainage Pump which are installed at the tank-top Pump House, Pressure Relief Valve (PRVV), High-level Shut-off Valve (HLV), Ex-proof ventilation fans at the Pump House, Flame Arrestors (dry and liquid type) and all kinds of valves, fittings, pipe-wall crossing, flanges and other accessories necessary for the operation of the tank.
Electrical works include a Fuel Level Indicator, ex-proof lighting fixtures and convenience outlets, Ex-proof Power Panel which is located inside the Pump House, electrical cables and grounding.
Existing Filter/Manifold Station is modified for the connection of the new storage tank. Modification works cover pipe-wall crossings, mechanical fuel pipes, valves and installation of new Ex-proof Power and Control Panels which are designed to serve also for the existing 1,250 m3 fuel storage tank.
