Project covers preparation of the working drawings, technical specifications, administrative specifications, unit price proposal sheets, unit price analysis sheets and import material lists. Air Traffic Control Tower at Anaconda/Balad Airbase is a 5+1 (five floors plus the Control Cab) reinforced concrete structure.
Mechanical Works: Control Tower is equipped with an HVAC system in accordance with Military Handbook 1190 and ATCT Design Guide. Two each air handling units with 100% redundancy are dedicated to the Control Cab.
Electrical works cover power supply and distribution system telephone and intercom system, data system, conventional fire alarm system, grounding and lightning protection system.
Communication : Anaconda/Balad Airbase Air Traffic Control Tower is also provided with a Communication Control System (Enhanced Terminal Voice Switch-ETVS) consisting of operator positions to control the telephone and wireless communications between the pilots and the Control Tower; a Multichannel Voice Recorder (MVR) to record all communications between the pilots and the ground crew.Camera System consisting of remote controlled cameras at runway ends and monitors at the Control Tower; an Automatic Terminal Information System (ATIS) to broadcast the latest meteorological and navigational data related to Anaconda/Balad Airbase; Airfield Lighting Remote Control Console which controls lighting circuits such as the runway/threshold lights, distance markers, approach lights, VASI/PAPI lights and taxiway/taxitrack lights and Meteorology Equipment to indicate maximum and minimum wind speeds and average or instantaneous wind directions and speeds.
